Etsu Nupe Urges Muslims to Pray for Nigeria's Peace

Etsu Nupe Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar called on Muslims to leverage the holy month of Ramadan to pray for the return of permanent peace in Nigeria. In an interview with newsmen on Wednesday in Bida, Niger State, he emphasized the importance of intensified prayers during this sacred period.

Abubakar highlighted the ongoing security challenges facing the country, including insurgency, banditry, and kidnapping, and stated that ceaseless and fervent prayers from the Muslim community are essential to overcoming these issues. He explained that sustained prayer during Ramadan offers a divine intervention that could provide solutions to the socio-economic challenges plaguing the nation.

The Etsu Nupe also congratulated Muslims on the commencement of the fasting period, urging them to use this auspicious time to seek God's assistance in addressing the problems affecting the country.
