Etsu Nupe Calls for Unity and Peace on Eid el-Fitr

Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, delivered a message of unity and peace during his Eid el-Fitr address at the Eid prayer ground in Bida, Niger State, on Friday. He expressed gratitude to Allah for the successful completion of Ramadan and encouraged Muslims to uphold the virtues practiced during the holy month, such as piety, love, charity, and discipline.

Abubakar urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for peace, unity, and progress in the country, highlighting that peace is essential for development. He called on the wealthy to assist the less privileged to ensure a joyful Eid celebration for all.

Additionally, he advised parents to take responsibility for the proper upbringing of their children, emphasizing the importance of instilling moral values. Sheikh Adamu Liman Yakatun, the Chief Imam of Nupe, also encouraged Muslims to internalize the lessons learned during Ramadan.
