Katsina United's Azeez Audu Mohammed cites slow start in loss
In a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 5 encounter, Katsina United suffered a 2-0 defeat against Shooting Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan. Azeez Audu Mohammed, the technical adviser for Katsina United, stated that the team's slow start was a significant factor in their loss.
The match saw Shooting Stars take the lead with an early goal from Olanrewaju Ridwan in the 20th minute, which Mohammed noted destabilized his players. Qamar Adegoke added a second goal for Shooting Stars in the 72nd minute, solidifying their victory.
Following the match, Mohammed expressed that conceding early gave Shooting Stars the edge they needed. Katsina United is set to face Doma United in their next game this weekend.
