Tears as Nollywood Legend Ogogo is Laid to Rest

Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, was laid to rest on Monday in Ilaro, Ogun State, where tears flowed among mourners. His burial drew significant attention, with Ogun APC governorship candidate Solomon Adeola mourning the late actor and noting his efforts to support Ogogo’s medical treatment.

On the same day, actress Funke Akindele faced mixed reactions on social media for sharing a birthday message, coinciding with Ogogo's burial. Additionally, popular dancer Poco Lee is expected to appear in a London court in September over an alleged assault, as confirmed by a Nigerian community leader in the UK.

The Federal Government also released the 2026/2027 admission list for Federal Unity Colleges, directing successful candidates to confirm their placements.
