Veteran Actor Hassan Laid to Rest in Ilaro

The late actor Hassan was laid to rest in his hometown of Ilaro, following his death on Sunday, August 23, 2026, after a battle with cancer. His daughter, Kira, announced his passing during an Instagram Live session, which was later confirmed by his colleague, Saidi Balogun, via social media.

The burial rites were attended by family members, friends, sympathizers, and colleagues, including notable figures from the Yoruba-language film industry such as Yinka Quadri, Prince Jide Kosoko, and Ireti Osayemi. An Islamic cleric delivered a message as part of the rites, and Hassan's body was wrapped in white clothing in accordance with Islamic customs.
