Rev. Dr. William Uzochukwu Okoy Passes Away, CAN Mourns

William Uzochukwu Okoy, a devoted servant of God and former chaplain at Aso Rock Villa, has died. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), through its president Archbishop Daniel Okoh, mourned his passing in a statement issued on Thursday.

Okoy was recognized for his significant contributions to the church and the nation. He served as the chairman of the Federal Capital Territory chapter and later as the national director of social welfare for the Christian Fellowship Mission and the Pentecost Fellowship Nigeria.

Additionally, he was a member of the presidential advisory council on youth affairs and participated in the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission. Archbishop Okoh described Okoy as a humble servant who carried out his responsibilities with wisdom and grace, emphasizing his commitment to church unity and the advancement of Christian faith.

He expressed that Okoy's counsel and dedication would be greatly missed, offering prayers for comfort to Okoy's family during this difficult time.
