Ex-Benue Speaker Hyacinth Dajoh Joins PDP from APC

Hyacinth Dajoh, the former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People's Democratic Party (PDP). This decision was confirmed in a press statement issued by his media aide, Agber Kulugh.

Dajoh's exit from the APC follows a period of prolonged internal disagreements and unsuccessful reconciliation efforts within the party. He has already participated in the PDP's senatorial primary elections for the Benue North West district held in Makurdi.

The former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, welcomed Dajoh into the PDP, reaffirming the party's commitment to inclusivity and community development. Dajoh's political move is part of ongoing political realignments in Benue State as the region prepares for future electoral contests, particularly reflecting the interests of the Gboko West constituency.
