Ex-chef sues Neymar for £37,500 over harsh work conditions

A former personal chef of Brazilian football star Neymar is suing him for £37,500, alleging she was subjected to harsh working conditions during her employment. According to reports from Goal and Brazilian outlet Metropol, the chef was required to prepare meals daily for Neymar and his entourage, which included around 150 friends and associates.

She claims to have worked 16-hour shifts, far exceeding the stipulated hours in her original contract, which required her to work from 7 AM to 5 PM Monday to Thursday and 7 AM to 4 PM on Fridays. Despite this agreement, she alleges she frequently worked until 11 PM or midnight, including weekends, without receiving the mandated lunch breaks.

The chef states that the intense workload and physical demands of her role, which included carrying heavy meat portions, led to significant health issues, including back problems and hip inflammation. She is seeking compensation for unpaid overtime, medical expenses, and damages related to her injuries.
