ABU Inaugurates Legal Advisory Committee Led by Justice Bello

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria has inaugurated a seven-member legal advisory committee, which will be chaired by Justice Ishaq Usman Bello, a retired Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The announcement was made by the university's spokesman, Mallam Auwal Umar.

The committee's formation is in accordance with Statute 38 of Ahmadu Bello University, which establishes a director of legal services. Its primary purpose is to provide legal representation and advice, particularly in handling legal matters involving the university.

The committee was inaugurated by Mahmud Yayal, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Ahmadu Bello University. Yayal described the committee as unique, given its chair's distinguished background as a retired chief judge.
