Adeleke's Camp Condemns Electoral Violence in Osun State

The campaign team of Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has publicly condemned a recent surge of electoral violence attributed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Osun State Police Command. Pelumi Olajengbesi, the campaign spokesman, criticized the police for selectively enforcing the law and failing to protect citizens amidst escalating political violence.

He stated that elections should be determined by ballots, not bullets, and expressed concern over the loss of innocent lives. The political climate in Osun has intensified, with recent incidents including the killing of a 14-year-old boy in Irepodun Local Government by political thugs.

Olajengbesi accused the APC of creating a culture of fear and emphasized that the upcoming governorship election should reflect the will of the people, not be marred by violence. He called for equal protection under the law for all citizens, regardless of political affiliation.
