Ex-Imo Deputy Governor Madumere Resigns from APC

Princ Ez Madumere, the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on March 17, 2026. His resignation was communicated in a letter addressed to the ward chairman of Ezinihitt Ward in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Imo State.

Madumere served under former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha and held his position throughout Okorocha's second term, which ended on May 29, 2019. In his resignation letter, he acknowledged the receipt of a letter from Hon.

Ugochukwu Udeh and explained that his decision was a reflection of his personal political journey within the APC. He expressed appreciation for the relationships he built during his time in the party and hopes to maintain these connections despite his exit.

As of now, Madumere has not disclosed his next political move following his resignation from the APC.
