Eze Madumere Defects to PDP, Cites Need for Change

Eze Madumere, the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). During a formal reception at the PDP secretariat in Owerri, he explained that his decision was driven by the need for a party that aligns with his values and can help rebuild Imo State.

Madumere criticized the APC for not rewarding loyalty and for treating committed members unfairly, stating that the party no longer reflects the principles he once stood for. He expressed confidence that the PDP would provide a better platform for growth and unity, particularly focusing on the welfare of the people and attracting youth participation.

Madumere, who has been involved in politics for two decades, voiced his disappointment with the APC's inability to achieve developmental goals and pledged to support policies that improve living conditions, create jobs, and boost economic development across the state.
