PDP Welcomes Ex-Deputy Governor Madumere Back to Party

The Imo State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) officially received former Deputy Governor Prince Eze Madumere and former House of Assembly member Uch Ogbuagu back into the party at an event held at the party's secretariat in Owerri. The event, led by the national working committee under Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed, was described as a turning point in the party's history.

Mohammed emphasized the PDP's readiness to participate effectively in upcoming electoral contests, asserting that the party remains alive and focused on its agenda. State chairman Austin Nwachukwu acknowledged the challenges faced by the party, particularly internal disputes, but expressed confidence in its resilience.

New members were assured of equal treatment and opportunities within the party. The gathering also featured notable figures such as Professor Awuzi and Sir Mike Ejiogu, highlighting the PDP's commitment to reshaping the nation's economy and appealing to Imo voters.
