Murtala Ajaka Mourns Former Kogi Governor Ibrahim Idris

Alhaji Murtala Ajaka, a former governorship candidate in the 2023 election, mourned the passing of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, the former Governor of Kogi State, describing his death as a significant loss to both his family and the people of Kogi State. This statement was issued on Monday by Ajaka's Head of Media & Public Communications, Prince Tijani Daud.

Ajaka noted that Ibrahim Idris served Kogi State for nearly nine years, from 2003 to 2012, and emphasized his important role in the political history of the state. He remarked on Idris's legacy of public service and his status as an elder statesman who contributed to the state's development.

Ajaka extended his condolences to Idris's immediate family, the people of Omala Local Government Area, the Igala Kingdom, and all residents of Kogi State. He prayed for Allah to forgive Idris's shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, while also wishing strength to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
