PDP Secures Senate Tickets in Katsina for 2027 Elections

On Wednesday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) conducted its senatorial primary elections in Katsina State, resulting in the selection of three candidates for the upcoming 2027 general elections. Mr.

Nura Khalil, the former gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), emerged as the consensus candidate for the Katsina South Senatorial District. Hon.

Aliyu Abdulmumini Abdullahi secured the PDP ticket for the Daura Zone, while Hon. Hamisu Gambo clinched the candidacy for the Katsina Central Senatorial District.

The primary elections were held peacefully across the three zones and were monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Khalil expressed gratitude to the party delegates and pledged to strengthen the PDP in the Funtua Zone ahead of the elections.
