Jude Dakur Leaves APC, Announces 2027 Governorship Bid

Jude Dakur, a former commissioner in Plateau State, has officially left the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as he prepares to contest for the governorship in the 2027 elections. Dakur made this announcement during a stakeholders' meeting held in his hometown of Kerang District, attended by community elders, youth representatives, and women's groups.

He expressed the need for a new political journey focused on people-oriented governance and emphasized the importance of leadership that listens and delivers results. Dakur highlighted the challenges facing Plateau State and called for unity among citizens to foster peace and development.

He also stressed the significance of security and equal opportunities for all communities in the state. Several stakeholders present at the meeting pledged their support for Dakur's political ambitions, and he maintained that he would keep close contact with grassroots communities to build trust in his leadership.
