Jude Dakur Defects to ADC for 2027 Governorship Race

Jude Dakur, a former commissioner in Plateau State and a prominent governorship aspirant, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as he declares his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election. During a stakeholders' meeting in his hometown of Kerang District, Dakur consulted with elders, youth leaders, and women's groups, emphasizing the need for a people-oriented vision that anchors inclusivity and sincerity in governance.

He aims to restore confidence in government and ensure that every part of Plateau State feels the impact of good leadership. Known as the "Captain Plateau," Dakur called for peace and harmony among the populace, urging citizens to rise above ethnic political divisions and embrace a shared vision for security and prosperity.

He reflected on his tenure as a commissioner, highlighting the importance of transparency and grassroots engagement in leadership. Dakur also visited Mangu to pay condolences to the family of the late D.A.
