Dakur Rejects ADC Governorship Primary Results in Plateau

Jude Dakur has formally rejected the results of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship primary held in Plateau State on Friday. Dakur contested the primary against retired Major General John Sura and alleged that no elections were conducted in several local government areas, including Jo North, Kanam, Qua Pan, Pankshin, Bassa, and Jo East.

He criticized the process, claiming it lacked credibility and transparency, and accused the officials responsible for conducting the exercise of failing to deploy designated centers across the affected councils, instead opting for a private residence. Dakur has lodged a formal complaint with the ADC's appeal committee, urging them to intervene urgently.

He stated that the primary fell short of democratic standards and called for the cancellation of the results in the specified local government areas, advocating for a fresh exercise to be conducted.
