Adelabu Confirms Tinubu Approved His Resignation

Adebayo Adelabu, the former Minister of Power, issued a statement clarifying that his resignation was approved by President Bola Tinubu. This statement was made available on Saturday, following reports that suggested he did not consult adequately before resigning to pursue a governorship ambition in Oyo State under the platform of the Progressive Congress (APC).

Adelabu's statement, signed by his media aide Femi Awogboro, dismissed these claims as baseless and emphasized that he had obtained full approval from President Tinubu prior to his resignation. He criticized attempts to discredit him and noted that he was welcomed by a large crowd upon his return to Ibadan last Thursday.
