Banigo Advocates for Women's Inclusion in APC Politics

Dr. Ipalibo Banigo, the former Deputy Governor of Rivers State, spoke out regarding her disqualification from the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election for the Rivers West senatorial district. In a statement made shortly after receiving support from women in the Degema Local Government Area, Banigo emphasized the importance of including experienced women in politics, particularly at a time when legislative advocacy for greater female representation is critical.

She called on the APC not to disqualify qualified women and expressed her belief that the party's national leadership, under President Bola Tinubu, would address her situation fairly. Banigo urged her supporters to remain calm and confident, asserting that the party would ultimately make the right decision.
