Ex-Yobe PDP Governorship Candidate Joins ADC

Ali Garba Tikau, who was the governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Yobe State during the 2011 and 2023 elections, has officially defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Tikau, who previously served as the Executive Secretary of the National Primary Education Commission, made the announcement during an address to supporters in his electoral ward.

He expressed his commitment to the ADC and emphasized the need for collective efforts to serve the people peacefully. Tikau formally handed over his PDP membership card to the ward chairman, Samaila Jalamawa, who received it on behalf of the party.

The ADC chairman of Tikau's ward, Babangida Dagar, welcomed him into the party, highlighting the ADC's determination to achieve success in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
