NJF Advocates Fair Play in Choosing Ezea's Successor

The Nsukka Journalist Forum (NJF) has issued a statement advocating for justice, equity, and fair play in the selection of a replacement for the late Senator Okei Ezea, who represented the Enugu North Senatorial District. The NJF, led by Chairman Benson Ezugwu and Secretary Felix Abugu, emphasized the importance of maintaining the existing unwritten power rotation among political stakeholders in the region to promote peace and unity.

They acknowledged the right of politicians to contest elections but urged the zone to resist external interference in choosing Ezea's replacement. The NJF expressed that a poorly organized selection process would reflect badly on the people of the zone and that the new senator must represent the best interests of the constituents.

They commended the Nsukka community for the spectacular burial of Senator Ezea, recognizing his contributions and the high standards he set during his tenure in the upper legislative chamber.
