Tributes Pour in for Late Senator Okei Ezea at Burial

Late Senator Okei Ezea was laid to rest on February 13, 2026, in his hometown of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, Enugu State. Prominent Nigerian figures, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, praised Ezea's contributions to the nation.

Akpabio described Ezea as a dependable colleague whose life was cut short at the zenith of his political career. He emphasized that Ezea's spirit would continue to watch over the progress of his community and the nation.

Governor Mbah highlighted Ezea's forthrightness and uncompromising dedication to justice, stating that he would be remembered for his effective representation of the people. Other dignitaries, including former presidential candidate Peter Obi and Victor Umeh, also paid tribute.
