FAAC Allocates Record N2.22 Trillion in August 2025 Distribution

The FAAC distributed a record N2.22 trillion to Nigeria's three tiers of government in August 2025. The allocation was based on a gross revenue of N2.5 trillion, with the federal government receiving N1.1 trillion, states N577 billion, and local governments N443 billion.

Additionally, states received N77 billion as 13% derivation revenue. The FAAC also set aside N50 billion for revenue collection costs.

This allocation marked an increase from the previous month, with N1.9 trillion distributed in July. The meeting, chaired by Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance, aimed to ensure transparent revenue sharing among the government levels.
