Faithia Balogun Honors Late Actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo

Actress and filmmaker Faithia Balogun, also known as Faithia Williams, delivered a heartfelt tribute to the late Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, during his funeral ceremony. Hassan passed away following a prolonged battle with stage 4 cancer, with the news announced by his daughter in a live video on Sunday, August 23.

He was laid to rest on Monday, August 24, with many colleagues attending to pay their respects. At the Fidau prayer held in Ilaro, Ogun State, Balogun shared personal memories of Hassan, whom she referred to as her boss, emphasizing that their relationship extended beyond a typical working dynamic.

She credited him with making her feel at home upon her return from London and noted his warmth and encouragement were pivotal in shaping her career in Nollywood. The ceremony was emotional, with many attendees visibly moved as tributes poured in for Hassan, who was regarded as a respected elder and mentor in the Yoruba film sector.
