Ex-APC Chieftain Calls for Suspension of Top Officials

Dr. Jackson Lekan Ojo, a former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has demanded the immediate suspension of several high-ranking officials, including Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, due to their alleged involvement in a scandal surrounding a fake agency.

Ojo criticized President Bola Tinubu for not acting decisively to address the situation, which he claims has made Nigeria a laughing stock on the global stage. He urged the president to suspend these officials pending an investigation, emphasizing that the integrity of the Tinubu administration is at stake.

Ojo also pointed out that the alleged director of the fake agency, Matthew Adeyemi, was dismissed by the president but questioned the adequacy of this response. He warned that allowing these officials to remain in their positions could further damage Nigeria's reputation internationally.
