NDLEA Busts Fake Medicinal Cannabis Syndicate in Lagos, Arrests Kingpin

The NDLEA uncovered a criminal network in Lagos disguising potent illicit drugs as medicinal cannabis. The agency seized a large consignment of synthetic high-grade cannabis strains and arrested the suspected kingpin, Afeez Salisu, who specialized in repackaging illicit substances.

The seized products were falsely advertised as medicinal cannabis but contained dangerous psychoactive substances. The operation highlighted the health risks associated with fake medicinal products and the exploitation of the global advocacy for medicinal cannabis.
