Femi Falana Applauds Nigerian Government's Land Titling Initiative for Economic Growth

Femi Falana, a senior advocate in Nigeria, commended the Federal Government for launching a national land titling and registration initiative to enhance economic growth and safeguard property rights. Speaking at a conference in Kano, he emphasized the importance of the program in unlocking wealth creation opportunities for millions of Nigerians by ending land disputes and corruption.

Falana urged the government to ensure the initiative remains inclusive and financially accessible, especially for vulnerable households and rural communities. He also highlighted the need for legal enforcement and transparency throughout the implementation process to ensure its success.

The initiative aims to increase formal land registration in Nigeria from less than 10% to 50% within a decade, in partnership with the World Bank and the Federal Ministry of Housing.
