Falana Explains Why FG Pardoned Ibom Air Passenger Comfort Emmanson

Human rights lawyer Femi Falana SAN has criticized the Federal Government for pardoning Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson, who was accused of unruly behavior, while failing to prosecute Fuji music star Wasiu Ayinde Marshal KWAM 1 for a similar offense. Falana argued that the government lost its moral right to prosecute unruly passengers by hastily pardoning KWAM 1 for his recent conduct at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

He stated that all citizens have equal rights and obligations under the law, and accused the government of discriminatory treatment by pardoning KWAM 1 without a criminal trial. Falana emphasized the need for consistency in enforcing airport regulations and criticized the government for setting a precedent of unequal treatment under the law.
