Janet Akekoromowei, a striker for the Falconets, has been ruled out for approximately two months due to an ankle injury. This injury occurred during the first leg of Nigeria's 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup third qualifying round tie against the Lioness of Senegal.

The match, which took place under the management of coach Mose Aduku, ended with Nigeria winning 1-0, thanks to a second-half strike from Kind Ifeanyi. Akekoromowei, who is 18 years old and plays for Bayelsa Queens, is already ruled out for the second leg of the qualifying round.
