Super Falcons Begin Camp for Senegal Friendlies

The Nigeria Football Federation announced that the Super Falcons have opened their training camp in Ikenne, Ogun State, in preparation for two friendly matches against Senegal scheduled for June 5 and June 8. Head coach Justin Madugu has selected a 23-player squad, which includes captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozi, veteran forward Asisat Oshoala, and midfielder Ngozi Okobi.

Notably, Francisca Ordega returns to the squad after a three-year absence, while Blessing Nkor, who plays in Belarus, has also been called up. Kafayat Shittu, who plays for Giresun Sanayispor in Turkey, has received an invitation, and Rofiat Imuran, who did not feature in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, is included.

The matches against Senegal are part of Nigeria's preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco from July 25 to August 16, where Nigeria will compete in Group C alongside Egypt, Zambia, and Malawi.
