Super Falcons Begin Camp for Senegal Friendlies in Ikenne

The Super Falcons, Nigeria's women's national football team, have commenced their training camp in Ikenne ahead of two friendly matches against Senegal. Head coach Justin Madugu has announced a 23-player squad for these fixtures, which are set to take place at the Remo Star Sport Complex.

The first match is scheduled for June 5, 2023, followed by the second match on June 8, 2023. These friendlies are part of the team's preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted in Morocco in July.

Nigeria has been drawn into Group C alongside Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt. Senegal will also compete in the tournament, being placed in Group A with Morocco, Algeria, and Kenya.

The final tournament will serve as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the four semi-finalists representing Africa at the global event.
