Super Falcons to Face Senegal in June Friendlies

The Super Falcons, Nigeria's senior women's national football team, are set to play a double-header friendly against the Senegal women's national team from June 5 to June 8 at Remo Star Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State. This match is part of their preparations for the upcoming 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

The friendly is scheduled during the FIFA women’s international window, which allows for player release from clubs. Coach Justin Madugu and his technical team aim to assess squad options and test tactical systems to strengthen the team ahead of the WAFCON campaign and the longer-term qualification target for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

The matches against Senegal are expected to provide a competitive challenge, testing Nigeria's physical style and organizational discipline, while also offering different tactical challenges.
