Super Falcons Train for Senegal Friendlies Ahead of WAFCON

The Super Falcons, Nigeria's women's national football team, commenced training on Wednesday in preparation for two friendly matches against Senegal. The camp officially opened on Monday, but player arrivals were staggered, slowing full preparations until Wednesday.

Key players such as captain Rasheedat Ajibade and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie returned to the squad, with a total of 21 players now in camp. Other notable arrivals include six-time African Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala and several players from various clubs, including Nottingham Forest Women and Galatasaray.

The first match against Senegal is scheduled for Friday at 4 PM at the Remo Star Sport Complex, with the second match following. These friendlies are crucial as they serve as preparation for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco from July 25 to August 16, where Nigeria aims to extend its record to an 11th title.
