MOSOP Urges Peace on 32nd Anniversary of Ogoni Leaders' Deaths

The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), led by President Olu Andah, has called on families of slain Ogoni leaders to embrace peace and reconciliation. This appeal comes as the community commemorates the 32nd anniversary of the tragic execution of four Ogoni chiefs, including Ken Saro-Wiwa, on May 21, 1994.

During a press briefing in Rivers State, Wai Ogosu emphasized the need for the Ogoni people to learn from the past and work towards rebuilding trust and unity. He lamented the ongoing divisions and bitterness among families, which continue to hinder the development of Ogoniland.

Ogosu praised the late Albert Tombari Badei's family for their courage in promoting forgiveness and peace. He urged all Ogoni families, especially those directly affected by the 1994 crisis, to let go of past grievances and focus on collective aspirations for justice and development in Ogoniland.
