Father Allegedly Stabs Son to Death in Maiduguri

On February 25, 2023, at approximately 9:00 PM, an altercation occurred in Umarari, Maiduguri, Borno State, where a father allegedly stabbed his son, Alhaji Moh Lawan, twice in the back. The incident was reported to the police, who dispatched a patrol team to the scene, where they found the victim lying in a pool of blood.

Photographs were taken, and the victim was evacuated to a state specialist hospital in Maiduguri for medical attention. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on February 26 at around 5:15 AM by medical personnel.

The police confirmed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect, and the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Maiduguri is investigating the incident. The body of the victim was released to the family for burial according to Islamic rites.
