Father and son die in Plateau tricycle fire after crash

On Sunday at approximately 4:20 p.m., a tragic accident occurred in Plateau involving a bus and a tricycle, resulting in the deaths of a father and his son, who were burnt beyond recognition. Eyewitness Kefas Gyang reported that the family was returning from church when the bus collided with their tricycle, causing it to catch fire immediately.

The deceased's wife sustained a broken leg, while two other children and the tricycle driver were taken to the hospital for treatment. Gyang recounted witnessing the aftermath, stating that the fire was too intense for bystanders to manage.

He also alleged that the bus driver fled the scene following the incident. Peter Longsan, the Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, confirmed the incident and the hospitalization of the injured victims.
