ShinyHunters Claims Major FBI Data Breach of Agents' Info

The security situation concerning the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has escalated as the cybercrime group ShinyHunters announced it has stolen a substantial amount of sensitive information related to FBI personnel. This data includes personal details such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, and employment information of both current and former agents.

The hackers also claimed to have accessed systems linked to recruitment, employee background checks, and medical records. A sample of approximately 5,000 records allegedly taken includes personal information and details about the work assignments of FBI officials.

Some records pertain to personnel involved in operations against Chinese spies, Russian intelligence, and drug-trafficking organizations. Additionally, the hackers presented samples that purportedly include "fitness-for-work" examinations, revealing medical test results, doctors' notes, and references to health conditions like allergies.
