FCC chair: Ex-Osun lawmaker Omidiran hails Tinubu, Oyetola for aiding her appointment

Former Osun lawmaker, Hon. Ayo Omidiran, expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for her appointment as the new Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).

In a Facebook post, Omidiran thanked Tinubu for recommending her and also acknowledged the support of Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and his wife, Kafayat Oyetola. Omidiran described the Oyetolas as pivotal figures in her appointment.

The appointment came less than 24 hours after reports surfaced of her selection. Omidiran succeeds Muheeba Dankaka from Kwara State.

The former chairman's tenure was described as controversial. Omidiran's appointment was confirmed by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga.

Omidiran expressed her gratitude and thanked God for the opportunity.
