APC Dominates FCT Area Council Elections, Wins 5 Seats

In the recent area council elections held in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured five out of six chairmanship positions. Joshua Ishaku emerged victorious in the Bwari Area Council with 18,466 votes.

Chri Garki won the chairmanship seat for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC). The APC also claimed the chairmanship in Gwagwalada Area Council, while the People's Democratic Party (PDP) secured one seat.

Other APC candidates who won include Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo in Gwagwalada, Nuhu Daniel in Kuje, and Abdullahi Umar Abubakar in Kwali and Abaji Area Councils. This election result reaffirms the APC's dominance in the FCT, showcasing its stronghold against the opposition PDP.
