FCT Council Chair Abdullahi Declares Senate Candidacy

Abubakar Umar Abdullahi, the chairman of the Abaji Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has officially declared his candidacy for the FCT Senate seat in the upcoming 2027 elections. This announcement was made on Tuesday in Abuja, following consultations with stakeholders, including youth and women's groups, who encouraged him to pursue this political ambition.

Abdullahi emphasized his commitment to representing the interests of the people and ensuring a dedicated and integrated approach to leadership for the future residents of the FCT. He expressed gratitude for the support he has received and conveyed confidence in his ability to secure the Senate seat, attributing his leadership aspirations to divine guidance.
