Wike Praises Peaceful FCT Elections, Highlights Party Dynamics

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), commended the peaceful conduct of the area council elections held on Saturday. In a special broadcast on Sunday, he stated that the election outcomes demonstrate the distinction between the ruling party and the real opposition party in Nigeria.

Wike emphasized that the elections reflect the commitment of the people of the FCT to democracy and good governance. He criticized the hypocrisy of individuals who campaign by exploiting the needs of roadside sellers, suggesting that such tactics are merely deceptive.

Wike also expressed gratitude towards President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the developmental initiatives brought to the FCT, reinforcing the idea that the elections were a testament to the democratic process in the region.
