Wike Appoints Onsachi Idris as SSA on Procurement

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has appointed Onsachi Idris as the Senior Special Assistant on Procurement. This appointment was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the Minister's Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Lere Olayinka.

Idris, who is set to take on this role immediately, is a retired civil servant with a substantial background, having over 30 years of experience in public administration, finance, and procurement management. He previously served as the Director of Procurement in the Federal Capital Territory Administration from July 2021 and held the position of Director of Common Services Procurement starting in August 2019.

The statement emphasized Idris's critical role in overseeing procurement processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards during his tenure. His extensive experience across various administrative and procurement functions is expected to contribute to the efficient delivery of services within the administration.
