FCTA Collaborates with Finland on Urban Development

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has expressed its readiness to collaborate with the Republic of Finland to enhance infrastructure, agricultural sustainability, and urban management within Nigeria's capital, Abuja. During a courtesy visit from the Finnish Ambassador to Nigeria, Minister Nyesom Wike highlighted the mutual commitment to deepen bilateral ties and explore technological partnerships aligned with the current administration's Renewed Hope Agenda.

Wike noted Abuja's rapid growth and ongoing efforts to transform the city's landscape through extensive construction projects. The FCTA is eager to leverage Finland's expertise in specialized sectors to maintain momentum in urban development.

The partnership will focus on infrastructure, agriculture, and smart city technology, with Finland willing to provide support in these areas. Wike assured the diplomat of the administration's commitment to creating an enabling environment for international partners and emphasized the urgent need to modernize the waste management system in the FCT.
