RCCG Investigates Youth Pastor Over Rape Allegations

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is currently awaiting the results of an investigation regarding allegations of attempted rape against a youth pastor from the Strongtow Parish in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The allegations were made by a Lautech student, Ladi, who claimed the pastor approached her under the pretext of collecting food she had purchased and attempted to force her into sexual acts despite her repeated refusals.

The incident, which was captured in a viral video, includes claims of coercion and unwanted sexual advances. Following the allegations, several women reportedly came forward with similar experiences involving the pastor.

RCCG's public secretary, Lanre Oyegbola, confirmed that the church is aware of the matter and is awaiting the investigation's outcome. Lautech's spokesperson, Lekan Fadeyi, stated they would investigate the case further.

Bishop Stephen Adegbit emphasized the need for proper investigation and accountability within the church.
