FCT Police Begins Recruitment Exams for Constables

The FCT Police Command has commenced the written examinations for the recruitment of specialist and general duty constables, which began on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. This recruitment exercise is being conducted nationwide, with designated centers including the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) Secondary School in Abuja.

Josephine Adeh, the Public Relations Officer of the FCT Police Command, announced the commencement of the exams in a press statement. The Commissioner of Police for the FCT Command, AHM Sanusi, visited the examination centers in Abuja to assess the process and ensure compliance with directives.

He expressed satisfaction with the level of organization and professionalism displayed by the officers supervising the exercise. Adequate security and logistical arrangements have been put in place to guarantee a hitch-free process.

Candidates are reminded to strictly adhere to the date and time indicated on their examination invitation slips and must bring required items, including a printed invitation slip, national identification number (NIN) slip, a clear photograph, a writing pen, and comply with the approved dress code.
