FCT Police Chief Distributes ₦74.4m to Fallen Officers' Families

On September 19, 2026, CP Ahmed Sanusi, the Commissioner of Police for the FCT Command, presented Group Life Assurance cheques totaling ₦74,424,762 to 143 next of kin of fallen police officers at the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki II, Abuja. This initiative is part of the Nigeria Police Force's ongoing commitment to the welfare of police personnel and the families of officers who have lost their lives in service, under the leadership of IGP Olatunji RDisu.

During the presentation, SP Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer, conveyed the CP's heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen officers, acknowledging their sacrifices. CP Sanusi reassured the beneficiaries of the Force's continued support and emphasized that the sacrifices made by these fallen heroes will never be forgotten.
