FCT Police Arrest Kidnap Suspects, Assure Resident Safety

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, led by Commissioner Ahm Sanusi, has assured residents of their safety after the arrest of three suspects connected to multiple kidnapping incidents. The arrests occurred during a strategic operation in Gidandogo, Garam, and Kungabako villages in the Bwari Area Council.

The suspects, identified as Nasiru Abdullahi, Samaila Dahiru, and Bello Usman, were apprehended following a targeted raid. Preliminary investigations revealed that Abdullahi and Dahiru were responsible for the kidnapping of Mallam Bako from Gushawai Village on April 8, 2026, with a ransom demand of 50 million naira.

The police disclosed that the suspects are part of a gang responsible for the abduction of 20 individuals in Byazin. Bello Usman, known as Dagejo, has been on the police watchlist for two years as a notorious logistics supplier for bandits in Kaduna State.

During the arrest, an AK-47 rifle and 12 rounds of live ammunition were recovered. The police urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
