FCT Police Recover Stolen Vehicle in Kaduna Village

The FCT Police Command successfully recovered a stolen Toyota Hilux vehicle in Kaduna State following a prompt response to a theft report. On June 20, 2026, CSP Altin Daniel, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Maitama Division, received a distress call regarding a white 2014 Toyota Hilux, registration number BWR 712 CV, stolen from the Wuse II area of Abuja.

The vehicle was reported missing at approximately 1:30 PM. Within four minutes, police identified an unknown individual driving away with the vehicle.

The DPO immediately led a team to the scene and initiated a stop-and-search operation along the entry and exit routes of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Utilizing digital tracking technology, the vehicle was traced and recovered in Kubacha Village, Kagarko Local Government Area, Kaduna State, around 3:30 PM.

A suspect was arrested in connection with the theft, and the vehicle is currently in police custody while investigations continue to determine the full circumstances and identify possible accomplices.
