FCT Police Recover Stolen Toyota Hilux in Kaduna

On June 20, 2026, at approximately 1:45 PM, the FCT Police Command arrested a suspect linked to the theft of a white 2014 Toyota Hilux with registration number BWR 712 CV, reported stolen from Wuse II, Abuja. The distress call was received by CSP Altin Daniel, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Maitama Division, who promptly led a team to the scene.

The vehicle was discovered missing just four minutes after the report. Police deployed along entry and exit routes of the FCT conducted stop-and-search operations using digital tracking technology.

The stolen vehicle was traced and recovered in Kubacha, Kagarko LGA, Kaduna State, around 3:30 PM. The suspect was arrested in connection with the theft, and the vehicle is now in police custody.

CP Ahm Sanusi urged residents to remain security conscious and take proactive measures to protect their vehicles.
